Jessica Ailstock, LPC

Jessica

"Taking the first step and knowing where to start can be hard, but I strive to help individuals find the tools and strengths within themselves to move forward. I believe we are all capable of healing ourselves by processing our deepest pains and recognizing our accomplishments together. Within this therapeutic experience, I aim to provide a safe, understanding, and supportive environment for growth and healing. As an art therapist, I also integrate art therapy as an option for all clients, to provide a more nonverbal and non-judgmental form of expression.

I have experience providing individual and group counseling, working with children, adolescents, and adults. I also have experience with trauma assessments and both inpatient and outpatient settings. I specialize working with trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and self-esteem concerns.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC). My Master's Degree is in counseling and art therapy from Adler University in Chicago. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and often integrate person centered approaches to counseling as well. Outside of counseling, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, reading, art, and music."
