Margo Wittenbach, LPC
"I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist with dual education, training, and credentials in clinical counseling and art therapy. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids and a Master of Art in Art Therapy and Counseling degree Adler University in Chicago. Additionally, I hold a certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
The first step towards healing and growth is often the hardest, and I am honored to be able to walk alongside my clients through this work. I embrace differences of all kinds in my practice and aim to create a space where we will collaborate towards goals, develop resiliency skills, and identify strengths to highlight what makes you who you are. As a licensed professional counselor and art therapist, I give clients the choice to integrate art making with evidence based psychotherapeutic practices as a supportive tool for communication and expression. Sometimes things are hard to talk about, we may not be able to find the words, or we just don’t want to talk. My art therapy and counseling practice offers a nonjudgmental space for all of these moments.
My areas of specialty are working with children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced trauma, are managing anxiety, grief, change, and various other life stressors. The therapies I primarily use include Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy."
